This is truly one of the most beautiful flags I have come across in my 20+ years of searching. This Japanese nautical flag is in remarkably good condition for its age. Subtle stains, pulls & small tears bear witness to its history, adding depth and authenticity to the piece. The word "Japan" is handwritten in red ink along the hoist, a detail that makes it even more special. It would be stunning framed on linen with a rich walnut frame.
