This is such an amazing piece. It looks like it's goldleafed around the edges, you can see the imperfections in the light. It's of a samurai (not sure if that part is goldleafed). There is some writing or what could be a signature at the bottom right side. The back also has some sort of art on it. Looks like a landscape of cliffs and trees in to the water. The hanging system is interesting too. I photographed it hanging so it does hold. Please see pictures for more details.
