This is a striking antique Dutch flag, rich with history and character. I once lived in the Netherlands, and seeing this piece instantly takes me back to that beautiful country. I love the bold red, white & blue, made even more special by the patina that only time can create.
The current Dutch flag was first officially flown in 1937, and this example feels as though it may date to the WW2 era - though I cannot say with certainty. One side carries a unique white "patch", adding to its individuality and narrative. Naturally, it shows some wear consistent with its age, but that's what makes it so compelling.
