This is an amazing piece of history! This is a contract obligation (money owed) from Benjamin Sawyer, a blacksmith, to James Holmes for a total amount of 21 pounds. I can make out most words but do not know how to read Olde English very well. Please see pictures for details. On the back, you can see the letter prints are raised. It is dated and signed. This would be absolutely amazing framed in a black high gloss frame!
